Gdansk used to be one of the most important ports in the Baltic Sea. Here existed dozens of small breweries which brewed beer both for locals and for export. Some types of beer like jopenbeer were well known in England or in the Netherlands. Today local brewers are reconstructing beer based on old recipes.
Beer tasting in Gdansk is not only about beer. It is about daily live centuries ago, about habits, relationships and tha way of living in 15th or 16th century. We are visiting local breweries, pubs and other places like St. Mary’s church. Of course we will see Neptun Fountaine, ulica Mariacka and the Old Port.
